Constitutional Amendments: The Original 10 that passed
I'm sure we all remember the original 10 amendments to the constitution. And by all of us I mean me and anyone else who has too much time on their hands. What basically needs to be known is there are 10 original amendments and guarantee our right to freedom of speech, religion, and right to assembly; our right to a jury, our right to a fair trial, a right to due process, a right to not have our house seized by soldiers during times of war, a right to privacy, a right to further amend the constitution, and a right to bear arms to topple anyone who challenges these natural rights of man. Constitutional Amendments: The Original 2 that failed
Originally, there were 12 Amendments to the constitution with the first two being for a much larger house of representatives ratio and the second: disallowing bureaucrats from establishing their own paycheck (which was later ratified in 1992). In total, there have been 6 Amendments that have failed to be ratified. They were the House ratio bill mentioned earlier, an Amendment that would remove the citizenship of anyone who accepted a title of royalty or nobility without the consent of the government, the ERA, and several others.
